Back At It

Sun Oct 11, 2009, 3:58 AM
It's been a while since I've been on DA. I'm super busy with several projects and I still have to keep my "day job" for now. I was having issues with my PC so I broke down and got a new hard drive (500g woohoo!). Everything's back in running order now.

The comic is still in the writing stages so the guys at Viper gave me a small flash project to work on. I can't really say much about it at this time but I'm very excited to be working with the VIper team. Hopfuly this will lead to bigger and better projects ;)

There are a few ways to do it. I have a Wacom tablet and do most of my work 100% digitally. I either use the paint brush tool in flash to sketch out the design or import a rough drawing I've sketched in Gimp (saved as a jpg).

Once I have a rough I convert it to a new object and than using the line tool I trace over it on a new layer. The different tones are also outlined with the line tool and than i delete the unneeded lines once all the colors are filled in.

If you don't have a tablet you can do you sketches on paper and scan them for import into flash.

Hope this helps :D
